BECOME A BROTHER'S KEEPER
LET'S REDUCE ERRANT BEHAVIOR AND VIOLENT CRIME IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO
EVERYONE CAN VIEW ONLY BK MEMBERS CAN ADD OR EDIT

The Brother's Keeper Foundation was established by concerned citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. Most citizens are literally fed up with all the talk about the escalating crime in Trinidad and Tobago. Crime is the focus of almost every casual conversation. Television stations, newspapers and radio stations provide us with daily crime reports. There are enough stories to write a book on everyday of the week; we do have a problem.

IS IT THE GOVERNMENT'S FAULT?

Naturally everyone is looking to the government to put something in place to resolve our increasing spiral into the abyss where its OK to read about 5, 6 or 10 people being killed, robberies, kidnappings and missing persons.

The victims are anyone: young and old men, women, babies, anyone; and most times the reports say gang or drug related. And the beat goes on. Talk, talk and more talk and no-one wants to lift a finger to make a change. You just did, your finger brought you to a site where you can learn to exercise your right to help. Here you can anonymously voice your opinion on any topic related to the crime.

OUR STRATEGY

The Brother's Keeper Foundation strategy for a reduction of the crime rate is based on a model of shared responsibility. This model holds that I am my brother's keeperwhen ordinary citizens tolerate and accept errant behavior as normal more serious crimes become acceptable. We believe that when a society begins to ignore basic laws which were passed to ensure a peaceful, safe existence for every citizen then anarchy will eventually ensue.

The Brother's Keeper Foundation will act as a clearing house for YOU to report on errant behavior and serious crime. Brother's Keeper will disseminate that information to the relevant authorities. That may be the law enforcement agencies or other regulatory agency e.g. insurance or security company.

BROTHER'S KEEPER PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of shared responsibility is based on the simple fact that every citizen in this country should play a part in making Trinidad and Tobago a paradise. When we do away with all the labels like "government"
poster"corporate citizens" "police" and "the public" and understand that we are all really citizens caught in a maze of lawlessness. It is only then that things will really begin to happen.

It is not the government's fault because the government is supposed to represent the people. It is not the police's fault because the police is really controlled and is an arm of the government. The public has no fault as it is usually the victim. But the public is the people so the people i.e. the government, the police and every other label you can find to classify our citizens live in fear of crime striking home or family. The bottom line without beating about the bush is...

WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE .

Our goal is to build an on line community of RESPONSIBLY concerned citizens who can ANONYMOUSLY contribute via this web site in any way they wish. We are initially allowing anyone to contribute but that will be anonymousevaluated if this site is used to abuse that privilege. You can anonymously upload videos, start discussions or post your opinions. We ask that you refrain from using obscene language and be respectful of other. All malicious post will be deleted.

Im proud to be the 6th member of this group. I say thet because I know hundreds of thousands must join. If we have to do it ourselves we have to take out country back. It may mean breaking loyalties but country should come first.
